About the Event
NO NEED TO RSVP! All are welcome!
Saints and Souls. This Sunday, 31 October 2021, we continue with worship at the regular mass times of 8 am, and 10.30 am with low mass and Solemn Mass with music. On the Eve of All Saints, we begin our Remembering of Saints & Souls at St Augustine's Kilburn. At the 5.30pm Choral Evensong Mass, St Augustine's Kilburn Voices will sing much of the evening service, but there will also be much congregational singing. We give thanks for those lights which have shone in the world to the Glory of God in every generation. All Saints. Feast of All Saints. This is an opportunity for everyone to give thanks for all those Saints of the church down the centuries, many of whom are known only to God. Would you please come and spread the word? No need to RSVP in advance. All are welcome!
Here are two things to do:
1) Add a name to the All Souls' list: You prayed for your loved ones whilst they were alive. Why stop now they are dead? A list is available at the back of the church too. Names will be read aloud during the All Souls' Choral Requiem Mass. You can also register a name when you RSVP to the Requem Mass on Tuseday, 2 November at 7.30 pm on our events page. Link
2) Add to the roll of the living! Invite a friend or family member to our All Saints and All Souls' services. Our beautiful church offers a sacred space, beautiful music and a community that speaks powerfully of the love of God for all people. Now, more than ever, people are hungry for the peace that only Christ can offer. Evangelism is simply offering someone that sacred space and peace; it's sharing the faith that is so important to us with the people who are so important to us.
These are some of the most important services of the year where we meet in the faith of Him who died and rose again. We meet the relatives of those whose funeral masses and services have been offered in St Augustine's Kilburn over the past years and especially those who have been unable to attend church because of Covid.
Please spread the word! Leaflets are available, and emails/attachments will be sent out. Link
